Dirty Girl Mud Run 5k!

4 Jan

As most of you know, one of my goals during 2013 is to run 13 races. Didn’t know that? Check out my running goals for 2013 HERE! BAM! Ask and you shall receive! And you’re getting it even if you didn’t ask! 🙂

One of those runs is the Dirty Girl Mud Run in San Diego on Saturday, February 9th! Yeah buddy!

So what exactly IS the Dirty Girl Mud Run?  It is NOT a race. Dirty Girl is a 5k mud run for women of all ages and athletic abilities. Don’t worry, it’s not a “race” in the traditional sense. It is an untimed obstacle course designed to push you slightly out of your comfort zone, but only as far as you are comfortable going. (These are the exact words from the website!)

The obstacle course includes 12 different obstacles throughout! This means there are stops along the way so it is not just running for 3.1 miles. I know a lot of people tend to get scared off at the thought of ‘Oh my god I can’t run 3 miles straight!’ Well no worries for this course. You get a little “down” time. And by down time I mean some awesomely muddy obstacles. And who doesn’t love to get a little dirty?

But have no fear of the obstacles either! They offer detours if a challenge is more than you can handle. EVERYONE WINS!

Want to find out more? Don’t live in San Diego and want to see if the Dirty Girl series is coming to a city near YOU!? You can find more information (including other locations) on the Dirty Girl site or show on their Facebook! Just let them know I sent ya!  You can sign up and use the code:SDBLOGGUEST to save 20% off your registration!
